The restaurant is located in the old barn and in the “Jardí dels Ullastres” during the summer months. It welcomes us with carefully chosen recipes of Mediterranean essence with fresh wholesome dishes made with local products and from our own vegetable garden.
Our cuisine supports innovation of the traditional Minorcan cuisine, combining past and present, country and state-of-the-art flavours and textures.
Breakfasts at the hotel are varied and prepared with local products. You can enjoy them in the pleasant garden at the entrance of Alcaufar Vell, whether you are a guest or not.

“The secrets of Don Joan” offers a gastronomic stroll along the Minorcan traditional cuisine through our farm’s history and the vicissitudes of the 18th-century Minorca told by our great grandfather Don Joan Mercadal. This will allow us to taste current dishes while preserving the roots of our land’s recipes.
